Arrival
Your room will be available from 2.00pm. If you would like to check-in before, we offer you an early check-in for an additional fee of CHF 20.00. You are also welcome to leave your luggage with us in our luggage room, at the reception.
ATM
Bancomats from the Züricher Kantonalbank are located right here in the main station.
Postomats can be found at the post office on Limmatplatz (approx. 7 minute walk), or at the main station, in the front of the Shopville. Other ATMs can be found at Paradeplatz.
Baby bed
For a surcharge of CHF 30.00 per night we are happy to provide a baby bed (please ask the reception by 4.00pm at the latest).
Bathrobe
Upon request, we will be happy to provide a bathrobe for your stay at an additional cost of CHF 20.00.
Bathroom Stool
Upon request, we will be happy to provide a bathroom stool free of charge for your stay.
Bed linen change
We change the bed linen every third day. If you would like a daily linen change, please contact the reception.
Blanket
There is an extra blanket in the closet. Additional blankets are available upon request at the reception desk.
Books
Next to our business corner you will find a shelf with books in different languages. You are welcome to borrow them, take them with you or exchange them for one you have read. You are also welcome to leave a book.
Breakfast
We serve our breakfast buffet from Monday to Sunday from 6.30am to 10.00am and on weekends until 11.00am on the first floor of the Walhalla Hotel.
Are you leaving earlier? Then please report to reception the evening before. In the morning you will receive a coffee and a small breakfast box to take away from our reception.
Is breakfast not included in the room rate? We offer it for CHF 20.00 per person. Children up to the age of 5 receive breakfast free of charge when accompanied by an adult. For children from 6-12 years the breakfast cost is CHF 10.00. Please note the breakfast times.
Business Corner
In our hotel lobby you will find our guest computer with printer (b/w). This is available to you free of charge and 24/7.
Car rental
Our reception staff will be happy to help you organize a vehicle.
Charger & Adapter
Charger for your cell phone or power adapter can be borrowed at the reception.
Comfort rooms
Our Comfort rooms are all at least 25sqm in size. Additional to the free WiFi we offer complimentary breakfast, an iron and ironing board and a fruit basket. Enjoy our Walhalla premium bedding for an even more restful sleep. Also, a free late check-out out until 2.00pm is included. Please contact reception for availabilities and more detailed information.
Conference rooms
Our hotel has 6 conference rooms which can accommodate up to 50 people. For further details like prices, equipment etc. please contact the reception.
COVID-19 Protective Measures
We consistently implement the recommended protective measures of the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health) in our facilities. Our employees are regularly informed and trained. We ask you to observe and follow the distance rules. You will find disinfection dispensers at the hotel entrances, in the public toilets and in the breakfast restaurant. The rooms are cleaned and disinfected according to our hygiene standards. Please contact our reception for detailed information.
If you feel unwell or have symptoms of COVID-19, please contact the reception. We will be happy to assist you in reserving a PCR or antigen test. In case of severe health complaints, please contact the University Hospital Zurich +41 44 255 11 11 immediately.
Credit cards
We accept the following credit cards: American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard, EC / Maestro, CUP, VISA and Postcard. We also accept debit cards.
Currency exchange
We do not exchange foreign currencies at the hotel.
All foreign currencies can be exchanged at the SBB counter in the main station. The counter is open daily from 6.30am - 9.30pm.
Curtains
In every room there is the possibility to sleep in the dark. In addition to the shutters, you also have light-proof curtains in the room.
Departure
On the day of departure we ask you to check-out your room by 12.00 noon. If required, various late check-out options are available to you. In our comfort room rates the late check-out until 2pm is included. You can store your suitcases free of charge in our luggage room, at the reception.
Drinks & Snacks
Our beverage offer in the kiosk at the reception is open for you around the clock. Here you can purchase refreshing drinks at any time. If you wish, we can bring your drinks order to your room at any time (24-hour room service).
Doctor
If you need medical assistance, please contact the reception desk. The ambulance service is available around the clock on the outside phoneline 144 (room phone: 0144).
The emergency doctor «Permanence» in the main train station is open daily from 7.00am to 10.00pm.
The dental center in the station has the following opening hours:
Monday to Friday from 7.00am to 9.00pm
Saturday from 8.00am to 8.00pm
Sunday from 10.00am to 6.00pm
Dogs
We are happy to welcome your dog. We charge CHF 20.00 per day (without food). Please hang the «Do not disturb» sign on the outside of your room door if you leave your dog unattended in the room and report it to the reception.

You do not want to be disturbed? Please attach the red «Do Not Disturb» card to your door.
Dry Cleaning
For dry cleaning, we ask that you drop off your laundry at the front desk by 9.00am. You will find a laundry bag for this purpose in your room. The return will be done at the latest by 6.00pm. There is no service on weekends.
Early Check-in
Check-in time is from 2.00pm. Upon availability we provide an early check-in at a surcharge of CHF 20.00.
E-bikes
Would you like to charge the batteries of your e-bikes? You are welcome to leave them with your charger at the reception, we will be happy to charge them for you.
Electricity
The power sockets have a mains voltage of 220 volts.
Electric car
Are you traveling with an electric car? You are welcome to park and charge your car in the parking lot in front of the house for CHF 45.00 per night.
Emergency / Fire
A modern fire alarm system is installed in the Walhalla Hotel & Guest House. In case of fire, please use the emergency exits according to the escape plan, which is located on the inside of your room door.
If the fire alarm rings:
- Alert others including those in adjoining rooms
- Keep calm
- Follow instructions given by the hotel staff
- Do not use the elevator
Leave the house through the emergency stairs or emergency exits (EXIT)!
If there is smoke in the corridor:
- Close the room door and windows
- Make yourself noticed at the window
If there is smoke in your room:
Leave the room, close the door and alert the staff at the reception by calling +41 44 446 54 00 (room phone: 100).
There are manual alarm buttons in the corridor (red box). In case of fire, you can set off the alarm by breaking the window and pressing the button. This will alert the fire department directly.
Assembly points in case of evacuation
- Guests from the Walhalla Guest House will gather on the 1st floor of the Valhalla Hotel.
- Guests from the Walhalla Hotel will gather in Conference Room 6 of the Walhalla Guest House.
Please remain calm and follow the instructions of the fire department and our staff.
Excursions
Tickets for all tours and excursions can be reserved at the front desk. Please contact us for advice.
Extra bed
Depending on the size of the room, it is possible to add an extra bed. The price is CHF 50.00 per night, please contact our reception by 4pm at the latest. In Walhalla Guest House we unfortunately do not have the possibility to put extra beds in the rooms.

Fire extinguishers
Fire extinguishers are available on each floor by both stairwells, as well as by the large elevator.

At Walhalla Hotel you have a bottle of water free of charge in your room.
Our tap water is of good quality and can be drunk without hesitation.
The Restaurant St. Gallerhof is open for you Monday to Friday from 09.30am - 12.00am, Saturdays from 09.30am - 10.00pm and Sundays from 10.30am - 10.00pm

Green Choice
The «Green Choice» campaign stands for sustainability. Forgo room service and receive a voucher of CHF 10.00 for the Café Bar ODEON.
Heating
You can adjust the temperature of the heating in your room individually with the heating controller. In our bathrooms of the Walhalla Hotel you also have a towel heater, which can be regulated manually.
Hygiene items
Have you forgotten your toothbrush? At the reception you can get the necessities like toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving foam, razor blade, hygiene kit and sewing kit.
Ice machine
Would you like to enjoy a cool drink with ice? At the reception you will receive ice cubes free of charge. You can find the right drinks in our shop@walhalla at the reception, which is open 24/7 for you and offers a wide range of refreshing drinks and delicious snacks.
Ironing service
Our iron and ironing board are at your disposal free of charge. If you need them, please contact the reception. We will gladly iron your laundry from 8.00am to 4.00pm for an additional charge and return it within one hour.
In our comfort rooms you will find an iron and ironing board in the closet.
Internet / WiFi
Free WLAN is available throughout the house. If you do not have a laptop with you, you can use the internet station in the lobby free of charge. This is available 24/7.
Instruction WiFi:
- Connect to «Walhalla» network.
- Open your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.) and you get to the landing page of Monzoon
- Now enter your cell phone number incl. country code and then click on «Register» to receive an SMS with the password (free of charge)
- After receiving the SMS, enter the password at step 2 and then click on «Login».
If you don't have a cell phone with you, you can always get an access code at the reception.
If you have problems to connect, please contact the reception.
IT Support
Do you need assistance with your computer or cell phone? Please contact our reception team.
Jogging
We recommend jogging along the Sihl river close to the hotel. Our reception team will show you the most beautiful routes on the city map.
Key (Badge)
Please always leave your key at the reception when you go out. Our reception is occupied 24/7. Do not forget to return your key on the day of departure and report the loss of your room key immediately to the reception for security reasons. In case of loss we will charge you CHF 20.00.
Laundry Service
For your laundry, please use the laundry bag located in the closet and hand it in at reception the evening before or by 9.00am at the latest. You will receive your clean laundry back no later than 6.00pm the same day.
On weekends (Saturday & Sunday) we can do your laundry in house, but dry cleaning is not offered.
Late Check Out
Free late check-out until 13:00 is possible (subject to availability). For later times the following fees apply:
- Until 2.00pm CHF 20.00
- Until 4.00pm CHF 40.00
- Until 6.00pm CHF 80.00
- From 6.00pm full daily rate
Lost and found
If you have forgotten something in your room and have already left, please contact us at [email protected] or +41 44 446 54 00 (room phone: 100), we will be happy to send it to your address.
If you have lost something in the city, please contact the city police (lost and found office) at Werdmühlestrasse 10, or at Bahnhofquai 3, or call +41 44 411 81 10.
Luggage
Would you like to go into town after checking out, or do you still have an appointment? Leave your luggage in our luggage room at the reception. Please hand in laptops and other valuables personally at the reception.
Even if you arrive early, you are welcome to leave your luggage with us.
Luggage Scale
Would you like to check the weight of your luggage? We have a special luggage scale at the reception. The reception is manned 24/7.

If you wish, we can help you with your luggage. Please contact our reception staff.
We are happy to accept incoming letters and messages for you. They will be deposited at the reception or brought directly to your room. We will gladly take your letters and postcards to the mailbox. Stamps are also available at the reception desk.

Minibar
The water in your room at Walhalla Hotel is a welcome gift from the hotel. For other drinks and snacks you will find our shop@walhalla at the reception, which is open 24 hours for you.
The soft drinks in our comfort rooms are free of charge.
Non-smoking hotel
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire building. In case of violations, costs for cleaning (up to CHF 200.00) are to be expected. You may smoke outside in front of the hotel entrance or on our beautiful terrace on the 1st floor of the Walhalla Hotel. For your next stay you are welcome to reserve a room with balcony. Smoking is allowed on the balconies, but we ask you to keep the windows and doors closed.
Newspapers & Magazines
You can find magazines and newspapers in the lobby. Here you can also borrow or take books from the shelf free of charge.
Parking facilities
With subject to availability, you may park your car in front of the Walhalla Hotel for an additional charge of CHF 35.00 per night.
The Walhalla Hotel cooperates with the parking garage Hauptbahnhof. You can purchase exit tickets for one, two and three days at a reduced rate at our reception:
- 24 hours – CHF 35.– (instead of CHF 45.–)
- 48 hours – CHF 70.– (instead of CHF 90.–)
- 72 hours - CHF 105.- (instead of CHF 135.-)
Tickets for the «Blue Zone» are available at the reception for CHF 15.00 and are only valid for specially designated parking spaces. These tickets are valid from 08.00am to 9.00pm. From 9.00pm until 8.00am the next morning, parking on the white and blue markings is free of charge. We will be happy to provide you with further information in person at reception.

Pets
We are happy to welcome your dog. We charge CHF 20.00 per day (without food). Please hang the «Do not disturb» sign on the outside of your room door if you leave your dog unattended in the room and report it to the reception.
Pharmacy
The pharmacy at the main train station is open from 7.00am until midnight.

For our special pillow menu or just extra pillows please contact our reception team.
Photocopy / Scan
You can use our photocopier and the scanning machine at the reception, we are here for you 24/7. Photocopies are at an extra charge.
Post
We are happy to receive incoming letters and messages for you. You can collect them at the reception, or we bring them directly to your room. You can leave your letters and postcards at the reception and we bring them to the post office. Stamps can be purchased at the reception.
Radio
You can also listen to the radio via the TV. You can find the radio stations in the station table of the TV.

We recommend the Restaurant St. Gallerhof just around the corner. It offers international cuisine, uncomplicated service and a very good price-performance ratio. As a guest of the Walhalla Hotel & Guest House you get 15% reduction on your dinner. You can get the vouchers at the reception.

Roomservice
We will be happy to bring drinks and snacks from our shop@walhalla to your room 24/7. For the offer of the restaurant St. Gallerhof please contact the reception. The costs can be settled with the room bill when you check out.
Safe
All rooms at the Walhalla Hotel are equipped with a laptop safe. If you need a safe deposit box, please contact the reception. If you lose the safe key, we will charge you CHF 80.00 for emergency opening. Guests of the Walhalla Guest House can deposit their valuables in a safe at the reception.
Sewing service
You can use our sewing service between 8.00am - 4.00pm for an extra charge. We will be happy to do it for you, within one hour. Please contact our reception.
Scanning device
A scanning device is located at the reception and is available 24 hours a day.

Our small shop@walhalla at the reception is open around the clock for you. Here you can buy refreshing drinks, delicious snacks and souvenirs.

The supermarket COOP on the station bridge is open from Monday to Saturday from 6.00am to 10.00pm.
There are about 80 stores in the airport, which are open daily from 6.00am to 11.00pm.
Shoe polish machine & service
In the main building there is a shoe polish machine at the reception. In the Guest House you will find it next to the elevator.
Would you like a shoe shine service? Leave your shoes in the corridor overnight and inform the reception on number +41 44 446 54 00 (room phone: 100). You will find your shoes clean in front of the door the next morning.

Tickets
At the reception you can buy a ticket (CHF 8.80 for 24 hours). The ticket is valid for zone 110 in Zurich and you can use the tram, bus and in summer the boats on the river. The train ticket to the airport costs CHF 6.80 it is valid for zone 110 and 121 (valid for 1 hour).
Toiletries
Have you forgotten something? At the reception we will help you out with toothbrush, hygiene and shaving sets.
Tourist Office
The Tourist Office is located in the main train station and is open from Monday to Saturday between 8.00am to 8.00pm. You can reach them by phone on +41 44 215 40 00 or on www.zuerich.com.
TV / Radio
Our TV sets are always switched off. To turn on the TV, press the ON/OFF button underneath the circle. Now you can select a program with the remote control and the TV will switch on. You can find the TV program and the channel table directly in the TV.
Umbrella
We wish you the most beautiful weather for your stay in Zurich. Should you need an umbrella, they are available at the hotel entrance free of charge.
Wake-up call
Upon requestion our reception will wake you up by phone.
This service is only available in the Walhalla Hotel.

Zurich tap water is of very high quality. Enjoy it.
Zurich Card
With the Zürich Card you can travel in and around Zürich for CHF 27.00 per person during 24 hours by tram, train, bus and boat. In addition, you receive free or reduced admission to 43 museums, 50% discount on the guided tour of Zurich Old Town and many other experiences.
